Direct deposit is a service available to our financial aid students. It enables students to receive their financial aid money approximately two days faster than by check. It can be beneficial for those who have problems receiving their mail and ensures privacy for the student. A direct deposit authorization form should be filled out for those students interested in this service. The form is submitted to the Student Accounts Office in Sierra Hall Room 119, or the University Hall Bursar's Office (U171A). You can download the Direct Deposit Authorization form here.
How it Works
When financial aid disburses to a student, it posts as a credit to his/her account. Fees, or other amounts owed, are then subtracted from this aid. The balance then is sent for direct deposit. It takes approximately three working days for the balance of the aid to arrive in the student's bank account.
Important Note
If for any reason a student's bank account number changes or is closed, the student is responsible for letting the Student Accounts Office know of this change. Direct Deposit is on an ongoing process and if the student does not cancel it, the service will continue each quarter in the future.
